OK, so I have like 125 more Gmail accounts left to invite people with after google increased their invite limit so if anyone is interested give me your email address and I will send ya an invite.
Gmail offers 1 GB of storage. It has search features and quality of google itself so no need to wait a minute to search for a phrase in your email. It has very good spam filters. It groups emails and their replies in your inbox within single "conversations", a sort of thread known from newsgroups. Clicking on a single conversation will open up the history. This is very helpful and a feature which is new to me but very useful. I hear it can be annoying if subjects with the same name come in because they are grouped together even if they aren't related but I haven't had this occur yet and if they have the same subject, they most likely are related.
Oh yeah, if there is a email size limit I don't know of it. I have sent emails 10MB+ without a problem. Also a nice feature is the POP3 service so you can download the emails to outlook to look at them later. This feature costs money with hotmail and I'm not even sure if yahoo offers it. Also since it's relatively new you may be able to get a better selection of an email user name you want.
My name is Tom Schneider and I am a Software Engineer working at a fun company up in Kirkland, WA. If any of of my friend from back east are planning on a trip out here, LET ME KNOW!
